Data we collect from forms

When you submit an enquiry, quote request or tender enquiry on this site, we collect the information you provide. That typically includes your name, phone number, email address, postcode or town, the service you need, and any project details you include. We use this data to respond to your request, scope the work, and where appropriate arrange contact from Mainline Groundworks or a suitable partner contractor.

Validation tools on forms

We use validation on our forms to ensure that required fields are completed and that contact details are in a valid format. This helps us receive accurate information and reduce errors. We may also use tools to prevent spam and automated abuse. No additional personal data is collected by these validation tools beyond what you enter.

Sharing with Mainline and partner contractors

Mainline Groundworks operates a contractor marketplace and works with vetted partner contractors. When you tick the consent box on an enquiry form, you agree that we may share your enquiry and contact details with Mainline and with suitable partners so they can scope your project and contact you about it.

That consent is required before we can submit a marketplace-eligible enquiry. It is not pre-ticked. We record that you consented, when you consented, and which form you used. Without that consent we will not publish your contact details to contractors for purchase or unlock on the marketplace.

Before a contractor unlocks a lead, they generally see only non-identifying marketplace information (for example lead type, broad location, category and price). Your name, email, telephone number, full postcode and original message are revealed only after a contractor pays to unlock the lead, and only where you have given the consent described above.

We do not sell your data to third parties for unrelated marketing. We only share what is necessary to respond to your enquiry or help deliver the service you asked about.

How long we keep enquiry data

We retain enquiry and marketplace lead records for as long as needed to handle your request, operate the marketplace, meet legal or accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. Marketplace listings may expire after a set period; related records may be retained securely thereafter where we have a legitimate need to keep them.

Cookies
