1. Enquiry received
You contact Mainline via the contact form, commercial enquiry form or tender intake. We capture site location, service type, scope summary and any drawings or programme information you provide.
2. Requirement assessed
Our commercial team reviews the brief against package type, location and the information available. Where scope is unclear, we ask targeted questions before arranging a site visit or formal quote.
3. Appropriate service arranged
Groundworks packages often span excavation, foundations, drainage and enabling works. Mainline identifies the right trades and resources for your site. Work may be delivered by Mainline teams or specialist contractors in our network — with Mainline coordinating throughout.
4. Site visit or quotation arranged
Where drawings and ground information are sufficient, pricing can proceed from documents. For live sites, restricted access or undefined ground conditions, we arrange a site visit or clarification call before issuing a commercial response.
5. Work coordinated
Once scope and programme are agreed, mobilisation, sequencing and site communication are coordinated with your team. Interfaces with main contractor milestones, follow-on trades and adoption requirements are agreed up front.
6. Completion and follow-up
Handover records, QA documentation and practical completion are aligned with your contract requirements. We follow up on any outstanding snagging or scope queries through the same Mainline contact.
Geographic coverage
Mainline handles groundworks enquiries across the UK. For each project we confirm scope, programme and mobilisation for your location during the initial assessment.
Residential and commercial enquiries
Commercial and developer-led packages — including tender invitations and multi-site programmes — can use the commercial enquiry or tender forms. Smaller residential or self-build requests can use the standard contact form; the same process applies, scaled to project size.
